In March 2020, California became one of the first states in the nation to issue an emergency order in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Throughout the crisis, PPIC has provided insights on the far-reaching impact of the pandemic—from health and the economy to education, safety net, and water policy. Two years in, we are taking the opportunity to reflect on what the pandemic has meant for California—and how it has reshaped our lives.
This video is part of a PPIC blog series that looks back at two years of COVID-19 in California. These posts have examined Californians’ views on the pandemic, health trends and disparities, the state’s continuing economic recovery, issues in K-12 education, the role of the safety net, voting equity, and water management. Upcoming posts will look at crime, higher education, and more.
You can find the entire series, along with other PPIC research on the pandemic, on our COVID-19 page.
