Amy Gong Liu

Amy Gong Liu is a project assistant with the K–12 education team at the Public Policy Institute of California. Her research interests include cultural contexts around school discipline, children’s wellbeing and transitions to adulthood, and socio-spatial determinants of inequality. Before joining PPIC, she was a middle school teacher in Alameda, California. She is pursuing a PhD in sociology at the University of California, Irvine, and holds a BA in human rights from Columbia University.
