Cindy Scherer

Cindy Scherer is vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer at the Public Policy Institute of California. She oversees the finance, facilities, human resources, and information technology departments and ensures that the operations of the organization run smoothly. Previously, she was the chief financial officer and senior vice president for the Trust for Public Land, a national conservation nonprofit. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, she worked in corporate finance for a telecommunications company and in accounting in the broadcast industry. She holds an MBA from California State University East Bay and a BS in journalism from the University of Colorado.
