Zaira Joaquín Morales
Research Associate
Zaira Joaquín Morales is a research associate at the PPIC Water Policy Center. She provides critical research support to advance PPIC’s water and natural resource research agenda. Before joining PPIC, she worked for the Department of Animal Science at University of California, Davis, where she studied methane emissions from the state’s dairy sector. She holds a BS from University of California, Davis, where she participated in two research projects—on water resource management with a focus on issues in the Rio Grande basin and on soil science with a focus on groundwater recharge and its links to water quality.
