PPIC Statewide Survey: Californians and Their Government

Some findings of the current survey:

  • Only one of the six propositions on the May special election ballot has the approval of a majority of likely voters.
  • Six in 10 Californians are concerned about having enough money to pay their rent or mortgage.
  • Californians are highly supportive (65%) of the $800 billion federal economic stimulus package, but are divided (46% approve, 46% disapprove) about the government’s giving money to banks and other financial institutions.
